The inbox agent

Email Audit is the log of what the intake agent read and where it routed it, and the place you correct it when it guessed wrong.

For Managers and estimatorsUpdated

Mail arrives on a job in Jeevy without anybody filing it, because an agent reads the shop inbox on a schedule and routes what it recognises. Email Audit is that agent's working record: every message it scanned, what it thought each one was, and which job it put it on. It is a log and a correction desk, not a mailbox. Replying to a customer still happens in Email on a job.

Inbox and Runs are two ways to look at the same thing

Inbox is the flat list, newest first, with a count of what still needs a person. A message counts as needing attention while the agent flagged it and nobody has routed, tagged or archived it.

Runs is the same findings grouped by the scan that produced them. Each run says when it happened, whether it was scheduled or somebody pressed the button, and how many messages it scanned. This is the view to open when the question is "did it run at all", rather than "what did it find".

Running it yourself

Run now starts a scan immediately. Results take roughly thirty seconds to appear, and the list refreshes itself while it waits.

The chevron beside it opens a custom date range: a From date, an optional To, and Run for range. That is how you make the agent go back over mail from before it was connected, or re-read a week it was switched off for.

Correcting a route

Open a message and the whole thread is there to read, attachments included. If it is not on a job yet, Route to project or quote picks the destination.

Telling it what to look for

The agent detects purchase orders and RFQs on its own. Beyond that it takes two kinds of instruction, and they live in different places for a reason.

Shop instructions are written in plain language, as standing orders: flag shipping confirmations from a named supplier, surface mill cert requests, tell me when a client mentions a change order. See Shop settings.

What it will not do

It does not reply. The agent routes mail inward and stops there. Nothing is ever sent on your behalf, which is the same line the assistant holds. See The assistant.
